Until Something Wild Festival I’ll confess I knew very little about VIVOBAREFOOT – however here I was lucky enough to win a pair of their shoes, I chose the Ladies Tracker.
To give you a bit of background on about me (if you don’t know already!) – in short, I am an outdoors nut! Most commonly found running, biking or hiking around the UK and beyond, I was sure I was going to put these boots through their paces.
My first impression on receiving the Tracker was a good one – putting them on they were so comfy. For me, practicality is always a priority, but a real bonus with these is that they also look great too. Made from real leather, they have a quality feel, and I could totally picture them fitting in everywhere from rocky paths to muddy festival fields.
The tracker continued to live up to expectations coming with me on all my adventures, to the Lake District, Peak District, the Scottish Highlands but to name a few. The full hydrogaurd lining kept my feet dry and warm even on the longer boggy hikes. I was pleasantly surprised by this as I have had a few pairs of leaky leather boots in the past. They also proved to have excellent grip and gave me a good amount of traction on rock, mud and even snow at times, with the 45mm lugs demonstrating to be pretty hard wearing so far.
However, the main selling point of the Tracker is how comfortable they are. Having done a lot of long-distance running my feet and toes take a fair bit of hammer. But the style of VIVOBAREFOOT’s shoes meant that you have plenty of room for your big toes – something my feet absolutely loved.
In short, these boots have come with me everywhere since I got them – from rock, grass, mud and then to the pub they seem to have taken all I have thrown at them so far. Rugged and versatile I would certainly recommend giving them a try.
